Drawing on over 25 years of corporate experience in the financial services industry with two of Canada’s largest insurance and banking firms, Paula Mendonça is on a mission to support executives, and leaders to lead their organizations profitably, and humanely. This mission began when she was 10 years old, as she watched her immigrant parents work hard to earn a living, but not always being treated well by their bosses.

As a woman of colour, she supports both diverse leaders and leaders who have a vested interest in creating diverse, inclusive and equitable workplaces, which are reflective of the communities and clients that they serve. It’s not only the right thing to do, but also makes great business sense!

By working from the inside out, executives and leaders naturally discover their authentic selves, and unleash their unique talents and creativity. This creates a safe space for team members to bring their whole self to work. This approach strengthens the leader, team members and the larger organization. It also creates a ripple effect driving sustainable and lasting impact for clients, business partners, communities and the world at large.

Paula is an accredited coach with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and is a Foundations Certified (Systemic) Team Coach with the Global Team Coaching Institute (GTCI). She is also a Positive Intelligence (PQ) Coach helping her clients develop their mental fitness. Paula holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with the University of Toronto with a specialization in Labour-Management Relations and Economics.

Paula also volunteers as a Cancer Transition Coach with Wellspring and as a Coach with Up With Women. She is also a Parent Liaison with the Adoption Council of Ontario and sits on the Parent Council of her daughter’s elementary school.
